Graveside services for Jerry Floyd McKinney, 54, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, at Lakeview Cemetery, with Tony Ramon officiating.
Mr. McKinney was born June 16, 1947, in Marlow, the son of Floyd Albert and Dortha E. Black McKinney. He died Friday, June 29, in Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore.
Mr. McKinney had lived in Marietta for the past 11 years, moving here from Lebanon. He and Betty Jane Clifton were married in Marietta on May 8, 1992. A graduate of Marlow High School, Mr. McKinney was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow. At the time of his death he was employed as a clerk at Sunshine Texaco in Marietta.
Survivors include his parents, Floyd and Dortha McKinney of Lebanon; his wife, Betty McKinney of the home; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Clifton of Marietta; two sons, Jerry Lee McKinney and Johnny Lynn McKinney of Duncan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Gary Putnam of Marietta, Claudette and James Robinson of Gainesville, Texas, and Tammy and Rick Sloan of Ardmore; a nephew, Chris McKinney of Texarkana, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Brown of Rush Springs; and seven grandhildren.
Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by a brother, Don McKinney, in October 1996; and his father-in-law, Claud Clifton, in 1992.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Huff, Mike Buxton, Jim Bob Thompson, Rick Clifton, Dan Franklin, Tim Franklin, Joe Franklin and Dr. Stephen Hutchins.
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
