Graveside services for Earnest "Dink" Morgan, 65, of Sherman, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 22, at the New Rest Haven Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas, with Rev. Roger Speers of Kemp Baptist Church, Kemp, officiating.
Mr. Morgan was born April 19, 1938, in Thackerville, the son of Vernie Lee and Eva Vernell (Suggs) Morgan. He died Thursday, September 18, 2003, at his residence.
He was a retired truck driver and loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the Kemp Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Eva Vernell Morgan of Gainesville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Darryl Dwayne and Lori Morgan of Petal, Mississippi and Stephen Morgan of Ellisville, Mississippi; one daughter, Stephanie Morgan of Hendrix; three step-sons, Jeffrey Sisemore and Jeremy Sisemore, both of Hendrix, and Jimmy Hamm of Greenville, Texas; one step-daughter, Christy Sisemore of Hendrix; two grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Burney and Betty Morgan and Jerry and Janet Morgan, all of Gainesville.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his father.
Interment was under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville.
