Graveside services for Zella Marguerite Lewis, 81, of Leon, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, at the Leon Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Pryor officiating.
Mrs. Lewis was born December 21, 1919, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of William Henry and Della Mae (Johns)
Hull. She died Saturday, March 17, 2001, in Ardmore.
The former Zella M. Hull grew up in Parker and Erath counties in Texas. She and Phillip Harvey Lewis were married in 1943
in Jack County, Texas. They lived in California during World War II, returning to Mineral Wells, Texas, after the War, then
moved to Leon in 1961. Mr. Lewis preceded her in death in 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Hartman) Brooks of Leon and Barbara Gilbert of Paradise, Texas; a son, Phillip W.
Lewis of Comanche; two sisters, Wanda Ruth Cantu and Ruby Leath of Medicine Park; a brother, Raymond Donald Hull of Paradise; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lewis was also preceded in death by a daughter, Loeita Sue, in 1953; and three brothers, Clyde Hull, Charlie Hull and
Aaron Hull.
Pallbearers were Chuck Hartman, Eric Hartman, Scott Hartman, Kelly Hartman, James Gilbert and Allan Trammell.
Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
