Services for William N. Landrum, Sr. were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ardmore. Officiating were Rev. Claud Williams and Rev. Donny Custar.
Mr. Landrum was born January 16, 1907, at Durant, Indian Territory, and died March 7, 1997, in an Ardmore hospital following an extended illness. He was the son of Charles and Oda M. Norman Landrum.
Mr. Landrum had made his home in Marietta before moving to Ardmore in 1976. He was employed by Shell Oil Company 18 years before he retired and became a rancher. Mr. Landrum was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. He and Dorothy C. Houser were married February 20, 1931, at LaPorte, Texas, and she preceded him in death on September 24, 1990.
Survivors include three sons, William Landrum, Jr. of Ardmore, Richard L. Landrum of Austin, Texas, and George A. Landrum of Waldron, Arkansas; a daughter, Dorothy Caldwell of Bakersfield, California; two sisters, Odette Landrum of Ardmore and Wilda Godwin of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Gene Landrum of Ardmore and Wallis Landrum of Pacific, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore, with interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Colley, Max Clark, Charles Campbell, Jerry Landrum, Jerry Hanson and David Stewart.
