Services for Myrtle Lewis were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas. Officiating was Rev. Bill Fincher, pastor, Central Baptist Church, Gainesville.
Born March 22, 1900, at Terrell, Texas, Mrs. Lewis died March 14, 1995, in Pecan Tree Manor. She was the daughter of Thomas Payton and Janie Gale McAnally.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a member of Fair Avenue Baptist Church. She married Joseph Edgar Lewis of Cooke County on July 8, 1917.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Marten and Elizabeth Roberts of Gainesville and Mildred McDaniel of Kingsville, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Alexander of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband on December 8, 1964; a son, Jack Lewis; and her parents.
Services were directed by Clement-Keel Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2401 Scott Avenue, Ft. Worth, TX 76103.
