Services for May C. Lowe, 97, were conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Eastside Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Tim Emmons.
Mrs. Lowe was born June 4, 1897, at Old Cornish, Indian Territory, the daughter of James and Sally Sanders Langley, and died March 30, 1995, at the Calera Manor Nursing Home, Calera.
Mrs. Lowe had lived in Marietta since 1959, previously living in surrounding counties. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Marietta. Mrs. Lowe was a member of the Ruth Sunday School class and held WMU meetings at her home. She loved to quilt and crochet. She and George F. Lowe were married January 1, 1913, at Rubottom.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by two sons, Floyd E. Lowe of Memphis, Texas, and Aubrey O. Lowe of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Audrey L. Burns of Durant, Sally B. Champion of Grandfield and Lucille M. Wivel of Corona, California; a brother, Bill Langley of Derby, Kansas; two sisters, Ida Stuckey of Wellington, Texas, and Lois Barnhart of Garland, Texas; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband on December 4, 1975; and three sons, Leonard L. Lowe, Dan L. Lowe and George W. Lowe.
Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
