No services are scheduled for Betty Sue Thomas Luoto, 79, of Oroville, California.
Mrs. Luoto was born October 18, 1925, at Courtney Flats, the daughter of Ed and Mable Thomas. She died Monday, November 29, 2004, at the Oroville Hospital.
She was the sixth of nine children, Elmond, Marianne, Sybel, Lloyd, Bill, Ruth, Jack and Joe Thomas. Mrs. Luoto graduated from Courtney School in 1942 and volunteered for Cadet Nurses Corp during World War II. She and Carl Luoto were married in Santa Rosa, California. Mrs. Luoto had worked as a registered nurse and a realtor.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen J. Alexander of Red Bluff, California; two sons, Charles E. Luoto of South Bend, Indiana and Craig A. Luoto of Elkton, Oregon; two brothers, Joe Thomas of Merced, California, and Lloyd Thomas of Modesto, California; and two grandchildren, Megan and Justin Alexander.
Interment was in Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Santa Rosa, under the direction of Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers, Red Bluff.
