Services for Margriana Halstied Johnson were Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in The Acts Church, Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Ran in 1933, the daughter of Esaw and Mae Odie Howard Halstied, and died August 8, 1993, following a sudden illness. She had lived in Fort Worth 39 years and was employed by Bluebonnet Elementary School for 13 years. Mrs. Johnson had sung with a gospel group for 15 years and operated J & J Clothing in Fort Worth.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Wilford Johnson of the home; four sons, Wilford Johnson, Jr. of West, Texas, Robert Sanders and Stephen Johnson, both of Fort Worth, and Paul Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia; four daughters, Margaret Sanders of Tulsa, Sheila Kay Arthur and Rheanonda Gray, both of Fort Worth, and Sheila Johnson of West; her mother and step-father, Mae Odie and Hilbert Wright of Fort Worth; a brother, Clyde Wright of Fort Worth; a sister, Margrietta Johnson of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and aunts and uncles including Cleo Halstied and Bertha L. Manuel of Marietta.
Spencer Funeral Home, Fort Worth, was in charge of arrangements with interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
