Services for Randall J. Hambrick of Marietta were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Marietta Church of Christ with Bro. Ray Hilliard officiating.
Born October 14, 1939, at Leon, Mr. Hambrick died February 28, 1999, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 59. He was the son of Cecil Floyd and Ethel Rosie Hallum Hambrick.
A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Hambrick married Nita Sue Hanna on February 14, 1959, in Marietta. He was a rancher and breeder of American Quarter horses and Appaloosa horses. Mr. Hambrick was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ and previously was involved with the American Quarter Horse Association, the American Appaloosa Horse Association, the Love County Chamber of Commerce, the Love County Jaycees and the Marietta Lions Club.
Survivors include his parents, Cecil and Ethel Hambrick of Marietta; his wife, Nita Sue Hambrick of the home in Marietta; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jenny Hambrick of Marietta; a brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Patsy Hambrick, also of Marietta; and two granddaughters, Ashley Hambrick and Jamie Hambrick of Marietta.
Mr. Hambrick was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home with Bro. Murray McMurray conducting the committal service. Pallbearers were Allen Woody, Lynn Puckett, Bradley Randell, John Choate, Ronnie Savage and Tom Riley. Honorary bearers included Rick Selby, Don McMeans, David Brunt, Mike Turner, Marion Hicks, Pete Wright, Bob Ledbetter and Dr. Bud Willis, DVM.
The family has requested that contributions be made to The Randall Hambrick Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o BancFirst of Marietta.
