Services for Meril Dean Heiderich, 60, of Burneyville, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Burneyville Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Gunnels officiating.
Mrs. Heiderich was born November 28, 1940, at Mill Creek, the daughter of Beacher and Mary Richardson McCartney.
She died Sunday, June 3, 2001, in Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore.
Mrs. Heiderich was a homemaker and had been a resident of Love County most of her life, previously making her home in Carter County. She and Donnie Heiderich were married May 15, 1967, at Marsden. Mrs. Heiderich attended school at Lone Grove and was a member of the Eastman Baptist Church. She enjoyed her home, animals, flowers and fishing, and dearly loved her family.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Heiderich of the home; her mother, Mary McCartney of Cheek; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Garvin Milliken of Burneyville and Neil and Beverly Milliken of Wilson; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna (Sissy) and Robby Coyle of Burneyville; two brothers, Bill McCartney of Cheek and Gilbert McCartney of Healdton; five sisters, Christine Banks and Tammy Graham of Overbrook, Evelyn Thompson of Marietta, LaWanda Guy of Everman, Texas, and Rosia Graves of Mesquite, Texas; a grandson, Josh Milliken of the home, and five other grandchildren.
Mrs. Heiderich was preceded in death by her father, Beacher McCartney, in 2000; her twin sister, Geril Dean McCartney, in 1940; and a brother, Larry Wade McCartney in 1951.
Pallbearers were Ricky Banks, Jamie Banks, Scott Coyle, Johnny Hartman, Leroy Graves and Elray Coyle. Honorary pallbearers were Robby Coyle, Michael Coyle, Sonny Banks, Bill Hartman, David Graham, J.D. Brewer and Fayrond Balch.
Interment was in Cheek Cemetery in rural Carter County, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
