Services for Ethel Lee Gillaspy were conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Anderson-Kennedy Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Bob Wright.

Mrs. Gillaspy was born July 2, 1914, in Love County, the daughter of David and Laura "Ma" Evans Allison, and died January 21, 1995, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.

She had lived in California since 1937 before returning to Marietta in 1982 to make her home. Mrs. Gillaspy was a retired restaurant waitress. She married Cyril Gillaspy in Marietta in 1935, and he preceded her in death in 1963. Mrs. Gillaspy was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Carrie "Wink" Williams of Citrus Heights, California, Maxine "Jo" Keller of Rocklin, California, and Barbara "Bobie" Vernon of Marietta; two sisters, Frances Lynch of Marietta and Addie Allison of Roseville, California; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
