Services for Denzil David Greenwood, 79, were Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Marietta's First Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Higle officiating.

Mr. Greenwood was born June 13, 1915, at Marietta and died February 16, 1995, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta. He was the son of Samuel David and Lynne Balthrop Greenwood.

A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Greenwood was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta. He married Addie Imogene McAnally on August 28, 1937, in Marietta.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Imogene Greenwood of the home; three sons, John David Greenwood, Lindel Ray Greenwood and Jimmy Van Greenwood, all of Marietta; two daughters, Lila Epperson and Wanda Sandefur of Marietta; a sister, Zella McGugan of Willis Point, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Greenwood was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Glyme Greenwood, and two sisters.

Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery with services directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
