Graveside services for W.M. Red Forshaw, 73, formerly a Falconhead resident, were held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 11, in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Mr. Forshaw was born December 2, 1929, in Purdon, Texas, the son of Walter Edward and Autavia Vietta Ellis Forshaw. He died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at his home in Graham, Texas.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Forshaw served in the Korean War. He and Pat Hogan were married July 31, 1981, in Cedar Hill, Texas. Mr. Forshaw moved to Graham in 1991 from East Texas. He retired from the General Motors Plant in Arlington, Texas, in 1983. Mr. Forshaw was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ, Men's Golf Association at the Graham Country Club, VFW Post 8567, and a lifetime member of the Auto Workers Union.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Graham; four daughters and sons-in-law, Amy Henderson of Cedar Hill, Ann and Johnny Ford of Graham, Dawna and Mike Whitner of Mansfield, Texas, and Denise and Bobby Jones of Ocala, Florida; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Forshaw was preceded in death by two sons, Wesley Michael Forshaw in 1996 and Joel Keith Smith in 2003.
Services were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home, Graham.
