Graveside services for Byrd Love Draughon, 89, were Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery with Steve Clifton officiating.

Miss Draughon was born November 16, 1903, in Marietta, Indian Territory, the daughter of H. E. and Ruby Belle Draughon, and died August 10, 1993, at Lakeland Manor Nursing Home, Ardmore.

A resident of Marietta all of her life, she was a school teacher in the Marietta Schools for over 40 years. Miss Draughon was a member of the Love County Retired Teachers Association, O.E.A., and a lifetime member of the N.E.A. She was also a member of the Mahota Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marietta.

Survivors include two sisters, Joe Belle Wilcox of Norman and Rosemary Benton of Los Alamos, New Mexico; a niece, Jo Ellen Clifton; and a nephew, Galen Wilcox.

The family requests donations be made to one’s favorite charity.

Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
