Mr. Douglas was born in Cheek on March 16, 1934, the son of Christine Gaines and died January 12, 1995, at his home in Lawton. He was a graduate of Douglass High School in Marietta. Mr. Douglas and the former Lillie Mae Willis were married February 20, 1954, and they were the parents of 10 children, nine of whom survive. They had made their home in Lawton since 1960, moving there from Burneyville. Mr. Douglas was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Lawton, where he served as a Deacon and Superintendent of Sunday School. An employee of Gibson's Discount Center for more than 28 years, he retired on December 31, 1990, due to illness.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Douglas of the home at Lawton; four daughters, Marilyn Siders of Augusta, Georgia, Annette Kay Collins of Sacramento, California, Deborah Lynn Stewart and Eugenia Carol Tims of Lawton; five sons, Clifford Wayne Douglas, Clentis Edward Douglas, Alvin Donald Douglas, Jr., and Rodney Kim Douglas, all of Lawton, and John Dennis Douglas of Seminole; four sisters, Willie Ruth Toles and Jimmie Willis of Lawton, Cora Brazille of Oklahoma City, and Linda Andrews of Montgomery, Alabama; four brothers, Charles Willis of Marietta, Danny Willis of Lawton, Harry Mathis of Ardmore, and Billy Washington of Tulsa; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
