Services for Lorene Chambers were Tuesday, June 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel, Ardmore, with Rev. Wayne Fite officiating.
Mrs. Chambers was born October 11, 1917, in Temple, and died June 23, 1996, in an Ardmore hospital. She was the daughter of the late Willis and Rose Brown.
Mrs. Chambers had been a resident of Love County before moving to Ardmore in 1955. She married Brady Chambers on March 22, 1935, at Temple. Mrs. Chambers was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Brady Chambers of the home in Ardmore; son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Rose Chambers of Marietta; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Lynn Leverton of Lewisville, Texas; two brothers, Lloyd Brown of Frederick and Olen Brown of Columbia, Missouri; two sisters, Lois Washington of Muleshoe, Texas, and Christine Taylor of Azle, Texas; four grandchildren, Randal Chambers, Rhonda Taylor and Lindsey and Whitney Leverton; and three great-grandchildren, Sean, Clay and Cody Chambers.
Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jake Chambers, James Chambers, Gene Chambers, Kip Mooneyham, Brian Taylor and Fred Taylor.
