Services for Jackie Ray "Bud" Caldwell were Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Marietta's First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Crittendon officiating.
Born January 31, 1938, at Leon, Mr. Caldwell died October 17, 1996, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore, at the age of 58. He was the son of Jack and Mildred Miller Caldwell.
A resident of Love County most of his life, Mr. Caldwell was retired from law enforcement and truck driving. He was of the protestant faith and a member of the Senior Citizens Club "Over 50" in Ardmore.
Survivors include his father, Jack Caldwell of Marietta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie Dale and Elizabeth Caldwell of Ardmore and Brad and Nadine Caldwell of Ranger, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Eddie Stofel of Andrews, Texas; five brothers, James Caldwell of Antlers, B.G. Caldwell and Bobby Caldwell of Marietta, Mike Caldwell of Sanger, Texas, and Billy Caldwell of Ardmore; six sisters, Jan Graham, Callie McGill, Carmon Cox, Rhonda Navarro, Marcy Bartee and Mary Treadwell, all of Marietta; and seven grandchildren, Jacky Elizabeth Caldwell, Jessica Diane Caldwell, Richard Scott Caldwell, David Jack Caldwell, Katelyn Nadine Caldwell and Carla Rae Stofel.
Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred M. Caldwell on June 15, 1992; and a daughter, Rebecca Rene Caldwell in 1962.
Interment in the Leon Cemetery was under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home with nephews serving as casket bearers.
