Graveside services for Fred W. Collins, 83, Mill Crekk were at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Bill Crawford.
Mr. Collins was born May 3, 1912, at Geronimo, the son of Edward T. and Minnie H. Hisel Collins, and died November 18, 1995, at Sulphur.
Mr. Collins grew up in the Sulphur area and graduated from Oklahoma A&M. Mr. Collins, an employee of the Soil Conservation Department before his retirmement, worked in the Marietta office for a number of years.
He and the former Thelma Noble were married May 13, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Collins was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Collins of the home; two sons, John E. Collins of Mill Creek and Terry D. Collins of Bixby; two sisters, Martha Simpson of Clovis, California, and Essie Jackson; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Collins was preceded in death by a son, Danny; two brothers, Vol and Ernest; and two sisters, Beatrice and Beoria.
Services were directed by Clagg Funeral Home.
