Services for Dustin Shawn Clifton, 13, were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Marietta School Auditorium with Rev. Johnny Sconce, minister of the Leon Baptist Church, officiating.

Born February 4, 1981, at Marietta, Dustin died November 19, 1994. He was the son of Jerry Wayne and Sylvia Ruth Reed Clifton.

A resident of Love County all of his life, he was a seventh grader at Marietta Middle School. Dustin enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on old cars. He had spent this past summer working on a Volkswagen.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Sylvia Clifton of the home; a sister, Carissa Dawn Clifton of the home; grandparents, Paul Clifton of Marietta and Velma Reed of Burneyville; two aunts, Jean Powell of Escalon, California and Reba Hartman of Leon; and two uncles, Darrell Reed of Leon and Larry Clifton of Rogers, Arkansas.

Interment was in the Leon Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Harry Kerr, Randy Gray, Sam Andrews, Randy Reeves, Charles Treadwell and Johnny Dixon. Honorary bearers were members of the Marietta 7th Grade class.
