Services for D.B. "Candy" Caldwell, 85, of Clovis, California, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 2, at Boice Funeral Home, Clovis.
Mr. Caldwell was born May 17, 1917, in Oklahoma, the son of Buck and Julia Caldwell. He died Monday, November 25, 2002, in Clovis.
He worked on a ranch all of his life until he retired in 1982. Mr. Caldwell stayed active and served as a crossing guard at Jefferson Elementary School in Clovis for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Faye, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Virgil D. and Rose Marie Caldwell of Fresno, California; three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Carroll Hampton of Clovis, Glynda and Richard Woodward of Clovis and Donna and Alan Plant of San Jose, California; a brother, Jack Caldwell of Oklahoma; nine grand-children and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shirley Willis; a grandson, Sammy Willis; and a great-grandson, Gage Merigian.
Interment was held at Clovis District Cemetery, under the direction of Boice Funeral Home, Clovis.
