No services will be held for Connie Jean Paschall Collom, 69, of Marietta, at her request.
Mrs. Collom was born December 28, 1933, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of J.B. (Bert) and Mabel Paschall. She died Monday, May 26, 2003, at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Ardmore, after a lengthy illness.
She moved to Love County in 1954 and graduated from Marietta High School in 1955. Mrs. Collom worked for the telephone company until moving to Fillmore, California in 1964, where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Upon returning to Love County in 1977, Mrs. Collom worked at J.C. Penney and later at Lake Country Manor until her retirement in 1993.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindie Collom and Al Gilbert of Ardmore, Rose Moss and Michael Ragsdale of Ardmore, and Charlotte and James Brooks of the home; six grandchildren, Allen and Ashely Moss, Alec and Ryan Gilbert and Daniel and Darren Brooks; a sister, Patricia Davidson of Texas; a sister-in-law, Ann Collom of Mineral Wells, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Collom was preceded in death by her mother in 1975; father in 1977; and life-long friend through thick and thin, Anna Mae Bishop Lebard of Fillmore, in 2002.
Arrangements were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home, Ardmore.
