Services for Virginia R. Blakley, 64, of Leon, are pending with Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
Mrs. Blakley was born April 4, 1939, at Batson, and died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at her residence.
Survivors include a son, Bradley Blakley, of the home; her mother, Georgia Hartman of Leon; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Mays of Healdton and Jo Coyle of Burneyville; and a brother, Jack Hartman, of Leon.
Mrs. Blakley was preceded in death by a son, Brandy Allen Blakley, on August 12, 2000.

Graveside services for Virginia R. Blakley, 64, of Leon, were held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 25, in the Jimtown Cemetery, with Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating.
Mrs. Blakley was born April 4, 1939, at Batson, the daughter of Robert B. and Georgia I. Williams Hartman. She died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at her home in Leon.
A lifelond resident of Leon, Mrs. Blakley graduated from Leon High School in 1957. She and Archie A. Blakley were married June 2, 1957. Mrs. Blakley owned and operated a grocery store at Courtney and Leon. She later was employed at the Wilson Co-op for 10 years, then retired from Clint Williams Peanut Company in 2001. Mrs. Blakley was an active member of the Leon Alumni Community Center.
Survivors include a son, Bradley Blakley, of the home; her mother, Georgia Hartman of Leon; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Mays of Healdton and Jo Coyle of Burneyville; and a brother, Jack Hartman of Leon.
Mrs. Blakley was preceded in death by her father, Robert B. Hartman on October 24, 2001; and a son, Brandy Blakley on August 12, 2000.
Pallbearers were Carol Flatt, Terry Pierce, Jimmy Gilbert, Don Musser, Al Gilbert and Sonny Hartman. Honorary pallbearers were Elray Coyle and Kenneth Mays.
Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
