Graveside services for Thelma Hazel Gear Bachhofer, 95, of Prague, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 8, at Ringling Memorial Cemetery, with Bobby Perkins officiating.

Mrs. Bachhofer was born December 3, 1904, in Jefferson County, Indian Territory, the daughter of Charlie H. and Ada Elizabeth Schartzer Gear. She died Friday, October 5, 2001, in Okemah.

Mrs. Bachhofer was born and raised in Jefferson County and attended school at Mud Creek. She and Henry Wesley Bachhofer were married January 18, 1925, at Ringling. After her husband's death on November 13, 1983, Mrs. Bachhofer moved to Prague. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include five sons, Carl Bachhofer of Luther, Lawrence Bachhofer of Paden, Glenn Bachhofer of Prague, Gary Bachhofer of Marietta and Dale Bachhofer of Clarksville, Tennessee; four daughters, Bernice Moses of Arlington, Texas, Ada Kay Bachhofer of Fort Worth, Texas, and Zenobia Logan and Joyce Glasgow of Paden; 28 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bachhofer was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Paul Wesley Bachhofer, Lindell Charles Bachhofer and Don Wayne Bachhofer; and two brothers, Marvin Gear and Ennis Gear.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Ringling.
