Services for Ray Brock, 66, were Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas, with the Rev. Jerry Davis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.

Born March 22, 1929, at Bowie, Texas, Mr. Brock died March 1, 1996, in the Denton Regional Medical Center. He was the son of R.T. and Daisy Cox Brock.

Mr. Brock married Carolyn Hazlerigs in Ardmore on October 19, 1979. He operated Ray's Trade Shop in Saint Jo, Texas. Mr. Brock was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Brock of Saint Jo; father and step-mother, R.T. and Christine Brock of Bowie; step-father, Lee Beisch of Kamay, Texas; brother, Roy Brock of Kamay; two sons, Robert Brock of Saint Jo and Steven Brock of Lufkin, Texas; step-son, Mike Beaver of Gainesville; two daughters, Linda Thompson of Marietta and Niki Powell of Thackerville; two step-daughters, Marisa Forrester and Dina Arterbury; four grandchildren, Laurie Roper and Elizabeth Powell of Thackerville, Billy Ray Thompson of Duncan and Jilin Thompson of Marietta; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Roper of Thackerville and Colten Thompson of Duncan.

Interment was in Hardy Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
