Graveside services for Patricia Ruth "Pat" Burkhart, 67, of Thackerville, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 5, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating.

Mrs. Burkhart was born July 18, 1934, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Howard and Ruth Porter Burkhart. She died Saturday, November 3, 2001, at her son's residence in Marietta.

A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Burkhart was employed at Marietta Sportswear for 30 years, retiring as supervisor of the pressing deparment. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thackerville and a life member of Gainesville VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tom P. and Susan Burkhart of Marietta; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Darlene Burkhart of Gainesville; a sister-in-law, Jo Burkhart of Gainesville; four grandchildren, Kenny and Nancy Stinson, B.J. and Jennifer Stinson, Larry Stinson and Amanda Hall, and Teresa Burkhart; and six great-grandchildren, Jo, Jamie, Tara, Taylor, Macy and Lily.

Mrs. Burkhart was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sam W. Burkhart; and a niece, Margaret McPherson.

Pallbearers were Mike Burkhart, Steve Burkhart, Jeff Burkhart, Greg Burkhart, Sam Burkhart and Hack Middlebrook.

Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Stinson, B.J. Stinson, Larry Stinson, Larry McNeil and Kenneth Gary.

Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Cross Timbers Hospice c/o Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
