Graveside services for Lois Martha Bell, 81, of Oil City, were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at Bomar Point Cemetery, Wilson, with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating.
Mrs. Bell was born March 9, 1921, at Webb, the daughter of George W. and Julia Ann Barton Boatman. She died Satruday, July 27, 2002, at her residence in Oil City.
Raised in the Webb area, she and Benjamin Franklin Parmeter were married in 1937. He preceded her in death January 26, 1958. While living in California, Mrs. Bell was employed by the San Bernadino County Hospital as a dietary cook. After retirement, she moved to Denton, Texas, where she had lived 10 years. She had moved to Oil City in July.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and James Burns of Thackerville; four grandsons and their wives, Jimmy and Charlynn Burns of Waxahachie, Texas, Roger and Sandra Burns of Velma, Stephen and Connie Burns of Oil City, and Bobby and Jill Burns of Allen, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons.
Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
