Graveside services for Juanita Odessa Barton were Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, with Rev. Tommy Higle, pastor of Marietta's First Baptist Church, officiating.

Mrs. Barton was born January 14, 1923, in Marietta and died November 25, 1990, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 67. She was the daughter of E.C. and Opal Sharp Burkhart, Sr.

She had made her home in Marietta since 1975, moving here from California where she had resided for 30 years. Mrs. Barton was a supervisor for the Big Five Community Services, Green Thumb Program. She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include the children's father, Odos Davis; two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Keith Davis and Charles Scott and Nancy Davis of Marietta; two brothers, E.C. Burkhart, Jr. and Ray W. Burkhart of California; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Nephews served as honorary pallbearers.

Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
