Graveside services for Charles Edwin Beavers, 71, of Wilson, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 4, at Belleville-Bourland Cemetery, Courtney, with Neil Cox officiating.
Mr. Beavers was born August 16, 1931, at Courtney, the son of Curtis Richard and Alice V. Young Beavers. He died Friday, August 1, 2003, in Ardmore.
Raised in Courtney, Mr. Beavers lived in various cities prior to returning to this area in the late 1970s, after which he owned and operated an automobile sales lot. He and Faye Glenn Thompson were married June 11, 1997, at Ardmore, and since their union have resided in Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Faye of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Eric Michael of Bridgeport, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Jean Ann Beavers of Plainview and Richard and Rhonda Beavers of Dallas; a step-daughter, Dena Thompson of Ardmore; two step-sons, Phillip Thompson of Wilson and Ronnie Thompson of Washington state; a sister, Faye Cox of Ardmore; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Beavers was preceded in death by his mother in 1943; his father in 1952; and a son, Burt Beavers in 2001.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
