No services are scheduled at this time for Gerald Clyde Byrd, 59, of Healdton.
Born June 2, 1949 at Petersburg, the son of Loy L. and Dorothy Pauline Dewbre Byrd, he died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at his residence.
He had lived in this area most of his life. A Master Mason, Mr. Byrd loved to fish and read. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend to all. His family was his life. Mr. Byrd was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include his significant other, Donna Roach of the home; mother, Dorothy Byrd of Orr; three daughters, Cherry Johnson of Clyde, Texas, and Kali Byrd and Donnita Burge of Ardmore; three sons, Zane Byrd and Cody Byrd of Fort Worth, Texas, and Dale Jenkins of Ardmore; two sisters, Cindy Lewis of Leon and Dot Travis of Wynnewood; three brothers, Jacky Byrd of Henryetta, Texas, Donald Byrd of Rubottom and Avery Byrd of Healdton; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Loy L. Byrd, and a daughter, Velvet Byrd.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, in care of the funeral home.
