Services for Mack Lafayette Alexander, 94, of Clovis, New Mexico, were Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the 16th and Pile Church of Christ, Clovis. Officiating was Jerry Kendall, assisted by James Love.

Mr. Alexander was born January 17, 1903, at Marsden, Indian Territory, and died August 13, 1997, in the Plains Medical/Hospital in Clovis. He was the son of Mack Littleton and Nannie Pearl Alexander.

Mr. Alexander retired from the wholesale fruit and vegetable business in 1983. He and Leona Burns were married December 10, 1924, in Marietta. They moved to Clovis in December 1929. Mr. Alexander was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona Alexander of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cleta and Bud Shipley of Clovis and Marquita and Jack Cornelius of Belen, New Mexico; a brother and sister-in-law, Marion and Billie Alexander of Clovis; three grandsons, one granddaughter, five great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, two great-great-grandsons, two great-great-granddaughters, and a nephew and four nieces.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rufus and Kitty Alexander, Hulon and Nellie Alexander and Charlie and Ruth Alexander.

Interment was in the Mission Garden of Memories under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Casket bearers were grandsons, Jim Shipley, Kit Cornelius, Mark Cornelius and Bill Coker; and great-grandsons, Gary Shipley, Marty Shipley, Jim C. Shipley and Mark L. Cornelius.
