Graveside services for Ada B. Adcock were conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Herb Prater.
Mrs. Adcock was born March 12, 1899, in Illinois Bend, Texas, and died August 18, 1997, in the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant. She was the daughter of Alexander Gilbert and Sally Othello Stuckey Long.
Mrs. Adcock came to Love County from Texas in 1901. She had lived in Wewoka before moving to Caddo in 1988. She and George W. Adcock were married July 20, 1920, in Marietta.
A housewife, Mrs. Adcock was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Wewoka where she had played the piano for more than 50 years. She attended college at Edmond and was in the grocery store business in Wewoka.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Doris Adcock of Durant; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Adcock was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six brothers; three sisters; and a son, James Adcock.
Services were under the direction of Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home, Durant.
