Annie Irene Manning, 99, of Marietta, OK passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Lake Country Nursing Center in Marietta. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Eastman Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oswalt Cemetery under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home of Marietta. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
 

Irene was born July 16, 1923, in the Cannon Chapel Community of Love County. She was the daughter of P. A. and Marvia (Roach) Mobley. A lifelong resident of Love County, she married Alex Manning on December 13,1941 in Marietta. They moved to the Eastman community in 1950. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1975.
 
Irene worked alongside her husband on the farm even after going to work at the Little Brownie Industries where she worked for 25 years. She was active in the Eastman Baptist Church where she was a member for 70 years. She supported fund raising for all the volunteer fire departments where her coconut pies were legendary. Quilting was a winter activity, and many were recipients of her beautiful quilts. Irene loved rodeos and was a frequent traveler who toured many European countries and every state. She was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary. Irene supervised the food pantry and delivered meals to homebound people. She was never one to sit still and if she was sitting, she would embroider, mend or make quilt pieces.

Irene is survived her daughter, Stella Manning of Love County; brother, Sonny Mobley and wife Andrea of Love County; six grandchildren, Donnese Sloan of Eastman, Don Sloan of Thackerville, Delana Sloan of Ardmore, David Manning and wife Kerri of Marietta, Michael Manning and wife Michelle of Colorado and Michelle Martin and husband Thomas of Frisco, TX; 14 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by her son, Ronald Manning; brother, Cloy Mobley; sisters, Treva Nichols, Betty Whitley, Lois Dewbre, Wanda Wilkerson, and Joyce Mobley.
 
Pallbearers are Alan Baldwin, Ricky Mobley, Randy Hicks, Bruce Mobley, Larry Roberts, and Robert Baldwin.
