David Richett Esparza was born March 31, 1947, in Wichita Falls, TX, to Manuel and Josephine (Rodriguez) Esparza. He died on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Carrus Health in Sherman, TX, at the age of 77.
 
David attended Wichita Falls Hirschi High School and later attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. He had lived in several locations in Oklahoma and Texas, including Wichita Falls, TX, Bowie, TX, Brownwood, TX, Pauls Valley, OK and eventually making his home in the Falconhead Community in Bur
David married the former Virginia Lee McCaskill in Wichita Falls. He spent most of his working career as a residential foundation repairman. In his free time, he loved golfing, bird watching, singing, honoring our Lord and Savior with song, and garage selling with his wife. More than anything, David loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; older sister, Corinne Gonzales; younger brother, Timoteo Soto; and a younger sister, Lori Esparza.
 
Left to cherish David's memory are his wife, Virginia Lee Esparza of the home; sons, Greg Esparza and wife Shelly of Falconhead and David Exparza of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Christina Jones and husband Brandon of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Gabriel Esparza and wife Tracy, Morgen Esparza, Eli Esparza, Blake Jones, Loryn Jones, Brayden Esparza, Lukas Esparza, and Nicklaus Esparza; brothers, Manuel Esparza and wife Zena of Wichita Falls and Freddie Esparza and wife Carolyn of Pipe Creek, TX; and sisters, Yolanda Bruce and husband Rick of Wichita Falls and Mary Rivera of Atlanta, GA.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 10th, at the Falconhead Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Fagala officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oswalt Cemetery under the care of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.

Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
