Nancy Lynn (Cox) Day, of Ardmore, departed this life on October 26th, 2023, in Ardmore at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 4 days.

Inurnment of ashes will be held at a later date at Oswalt Cemetery. Cremation services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
 
Nancy was born in Ardmore on April 22,1947, to the late Mr. W.G. “Hap” Cox and Mrs. Bobbie Jean (Montgomery) Cox.
 
Mrs. Day grew up in the Oswalt area and attended school at Turner. Her family was blessed with many musical talents, and they would play and sing at many revivals. She was always very involved in church. Nancy attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant and obtained her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education among others. 
 
She married and was blessed with her two children Jeff and Christi. Nancy began her teaching career at Plainview Schools and taught there until she retired. 
 
Nancy and Aubrey Day were married in Ardmore. Together they made their home there. She loved music, family gatherings and travel. Nancy always found peace when she visited the beach at Port Aransas, TX where her family spent many summers. Family and her Christian faith were her life. She attended the Rawhide Cowboy Church at Gene Autry.
 
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aubrey Day; brothers, Mike Cox, Donnell Cox, and sister-in-law, Vicki L. Cox.
 
She is survived by her son, Jeff Hall and his wife Molly of Decatur, TX; daughter, Christi Wharton of Ardmore; brother, Terry Cox of Ardmore; grandchildren, Elijah Wharton of Denton, TX and Colton Hall of Denton, TX; sisters-in-law, Pam Cox of Ardmore and Vicki J. Cox of Courtney; multiple nieces, nephews, and first cousins that she was very close to.
 
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Rawhide Cowboy Church/Nancy Day Memorial P.O. Box 2558 Ardmore, OK 73402.

Interment was November 12, 2023, at the Oswalt Cemetery.
