Graveside services for Ronald Paul “Ronnie” Walsworth, 57, of Thackerville were held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 11 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville with Brother Murray McMurray officiating.

Born January 10, 1959 in San Antonio, the son of Shurburne Paul and Wanda Gale Stricklan Walsworth, he died Monday, November 7, 2016 at his home in Thackerville. A resident of Love County most of his life, he had been employed as an over-the-road truck driver and most recently was site manager for Wills Trucking. Ronnie also served in the U.S. Navy. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, roping, and watching bull riding. Another of his favorite pastimes was competing in barbecue contests, especially with his luscious “FIFTH PLACE” bean and chili recipes.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kelli Walsworth of Matlock, Washington; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marcie and Shane Kirk of Marietta, Amber Rains of Gainesville, Texas and Hollie and Quentin Yoho of Yates Center, Kansas; sister Debbie Harter-Brown and husband Bill of Thackerville; and 13 grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Colby Peery, Cade Rains, Aidan Yoho, Pat Neu, Alan Goldsmith, Randy Hart, and Danny Daniels. Honorary bearers were members of the Thackerville High School Class of 1992, Murray Liddell, and Mark Goode.
