Mrs. Valeri was born March 14, 1950, at Ardmore, the daughter of
Hershel and Monsella Tabler Thompson.
She died Thursday, January
24, 2002, at her residence at Ardmore.
She was a 1968 graduate of Marietta High School. Mrs. Valeri lived and worked in Marietta as a beautician for several years. She had currently lived in the Ardmore area since 1990. Mrs. Valeri pursued a degree in education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant, and in 1991, received a master in education degree. She then taught special education in the Ardmore School System. After leaving the Ardmore School System, Mrs. Valeri went to work for a State College teaching job advancement. She and Roberto "Bobby" Valeri were married October 8, 1999, at Gainesville, Texas. She was of the Catholic religion.
Survivors include her mother, Monsella "Pru" Husband of Thackerville; her husband, Robert "Bobby" Valeri of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Michelle Scott of Norman; a brother, James Thompson of Thackerville; and a sister, Pamela Gibbs of Ardmore.
Mrs. Valeri was preceded in death by her grandmother, Florence Tabler in 1997.
Pallbearers were Jim Wood, Scotty Wood, Brent Elliott, Brad Elliott, Wendell Elliott and Ken Claxton. Honorary pallbearer was Z.A. Valeri.
Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, under the
direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home,
