Services for Lula Ethel Roberson, 91, will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Thackerville First Baptist Church with Rev. Casey Campbell officiating.
Mrs. Roberson was born July 28, 1905, at Thackerville, Indian Territory, the daughter of John and Caroline Bridges Smith, and died April 1, 1997, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.
Mrs. Roberson, a resident of Thackerville all of her life, was a homemaker and a member of the Thackerville First Baptist Church. She and Albert “Ab” H. Roberson were married October 6, 1923, in Marietta.
Survivors are four sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and Polly Roberson of Turlock, California, Ray and Barbara Roberson and Kennith Roberson of Thackerville, and Leamon and Lois Roberson of Gainesville, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Bernita and Stewart Hayes of Wright City; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her husband on November 10, 1987; a grandson, Alan Roberson; and a great-grandson, Alan Roberson, Jr.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Hack Mullins, John Bond, James Wade, James Maggard, Charles Young and Jiggs Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Cody Roberson, Clint Roberson, Brian Sizemore, Ben Sizemore, David Parker, Zach Roberson, Brennan Roberson, Brandon Sizemore, Mark Parker and Josh Parker.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
