Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville.
Born September 6, 1981 in Ardmore, the daughter of James Oce and Sandra Lynn McIntosh Welch, she died Sunday, September 5, 2010 near Thackerville. A 2000 graduate of Thackerville High School, Mrs. Payne had been a resident of Love County most of her life. She and Jason D. Payne were married in Panama City, Florida on June 2, 2010. Mrs. Payne was a homemaker and dearly loved caring for and playing with her children. She also enjoyed being with friends and riding dune buggies on the Red River.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Amber Marie Welch on November 13, 1984 and maternal grandfather, Clifford McIntosh on July 10, 1998.
She is survived by her husband, Jason D. Payne of the home; father and stepmother, Jimmy and Marcia Welch of Thackerville; mother, Sandy Welch, also of Thackerville; four sons, Jacoby Lee Freeman, Caden John Welch, Hunner Kane Payne and Gilbert Fisher Payne, all of the home; a daughter, Shelby Lynn Riddle of the home; a brother, Levi James Welch of Thackerville; a sister, Kandis Brooke Bruce of Santa Rosa, California; grandparents, Louise and Earl Harper and James D. Welch and Peggy Kerr; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Buster Young, Tommy Voyles, Teddy Ritchey, Jimmy Freeman, Bobby Craig and Ray Eidson. Honorary bearers were her children.
