Services for Oce L. Morgan were Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Thackerville. Officiating were Rev. Taylor Shipley and Rev. Bob Hildebrant.

Mr. Morgan was born August 8, 1908, at Thackerville, the son of Howard and Ada Riley Morgan, and died July 12, 1993, at Frontier Manor Nursing Home, Gainesville, Texas, at the age of 84.

A resident of Thackerville all of his life, Mr. Morgan married Bernice Hennington January 29, rint1932, in Marietta. He was a retired rancher and a Mason. Mr. Morgan had served as a Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Thackerville since 1941, and was a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School superintendent for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Morgan of the home at Thackerville; a son, David Morgan of Thackerville; two daughters, Jean M. Wolfe of Midland, Texas, and Louise Harper of Thackerville; a brother, Dick Morgan of Oklahoma City; a sister, Lela Bright of California; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery was under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Charles Young, Bob Young, James Wade, Bill Taylor, Bill Wolfe, and Charles Whittington. Honorary bearers were John Bond and Earl Harper.
