Graveside services for Donald Ray Hagle, 71, of Marietta were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, with Reverend Chris Mauldin officiating.
Born January 26, 1945 at Matador, Texas, the son of George Farris “Sangie’ and Mary Foy Smith Hagle, he died Thursday, November 24, 2016, at his home. A resident of Love County since 1990, Donald had previously made his home in West Texas. He was an over-the-road truck driver. Donald and the former Wanda Fay Green were married in Haskell, Texas on June 10, 1968. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Donald was of the Church of Christ faith.
Preceding him in death were his
parents and two brothers, Melva Dean “Plute” Hagle and Leon Hagle.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Hagle of the home; five sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd Hatfield of
Gainesville, Texas, Joe and Michelle Hatfield of Marietta, Johnny and
Blanche Hatfield of Dallas, Justin and Talina Hagle of Henryetta, and
George and Tina Hagle of Thackerville; two daughters and sons-in-law,
Teresa and Ed Jentho of DeSoto, Texas and Janet and Joel Triplet of San
Marcos, Texas; sister Linda Martin of Marietta; 13 grandchildren; and 16
great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were J.J. Hatfield, Devin Hagle, Justin Hagle, Geron Hagle, T.J. Richey, and Chris Ellis. Honorary bearers were Bubba Green and Geordon Hagle.
