Graveside services for Marketta J. Tabler Elliott, 63, of Thackerville, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. John Sconce officiating.

Born November 3, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Luther and Florence Jordan Tabler, she died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta. Mrs. Elliott had been a resident of Love County most of her life. She was a homemaker and also loved animals. Mrs. Elliott was of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Tabler in January 1973; and a sister, Monsella Husband in January 2006.

She is survived by three sons, Wendell D. Elliott, Jr., Brad J. Elliott and Brent W. Elliott, all of Marietta; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jordan Tabler and Erdean and Peggy Tabler all of Thackerville; and two grandchildren, Brianna Elliott and Cody Elliott.

Honorary bearers were Jimmy Thompson, Marshall Scott, Jackie Barnes, Ray Grice, Billy Fred McKay, Ken Claxton and Jean Peery.
