Interment
will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, under the direction
of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Velma was born December 27, 1941, in Ardmore, OK, the daughter of Evelyn
(Richardson) and Clyde Webb. She passed away on Friday, December 11,
2020, at Mercy Health Love County of Marietta.
Velma was a lifelong resident. She married the love of her life Raymond
Walter Clark on January 16, 1960, in Marietta. He preceded her in death
on September 24, 1998. Velma worked for the Marietta Cookie Shop in the
70s and then was a Sales Representative for Avon for 35 years. She loved
reading her Bible and attending church at the Thackerville First Baptist
Church. Velma enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, and fishing.
Although she had many interests, she enjoyed spending time with her
kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids the most.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death
by a brother; three sisters; and great-great-grandson, Ryder Hughes.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Thompson and Tim Reinke of
Thackerville; son, Clyde Clark and wife Tammy of Marietta; sisters,
Agnes Leavitt of Marietta and Patsy Booker of Pioneer Valley, TX;
grandkids, John Van Baale and wife Natalie, LaQuetta Jarnagin and Bucky
Linderman; Jesse Thompson, and Angel Clark; great-grandkids, Kenzie
Clark, Raymond Clark and Milisa Bruce, Alexis Jarnagin and Trenton
Counts, and Shawn Jarnagin; great-great-grandkids, Novaleigh Hughes,
Parker Clark, Emberlynn Counts, and one on the way, six step-great
grandkids; one step great-great grandkid; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Serving as casket bearers are Tim Reinke, Bucky Linderman, Ray Clark,
Chris Linderman, Donnie Thacker, and Paul Sconce. Honorary bearers are
John Van Baale, James Lucas, Robert Tittle, Darrell Tittle, Chester
"Tooter" Hoover, and Wayne Clark.
Time of visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m.
to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open until
9:00 P.M.
