Robert Ben Buckaloo, 81-year-old Thackerville, OK resident, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville with Brother Murray McMurray officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta, OK.

Robert began this life on September 12, 1942, in Frederick, the son of Ben James and Annie Irene (Dale) Buckaloo. He worked for the Cookie Factory in Marietta for more than 25 years before he retired.

Robert will be remembered as an easy-going, good-hearted man who cared deeply for his family. He loved life on the family farm. Robert loved tending to the animals and working the land with a tractor. He also loved working on the tractors. Robert was always tinkering around with something trying to find a way to make it work or find a way to make it work better. He was a simple man who just enjoyed life and took every chance he got to sit, visit, and tell stories to a friend or a family member.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joe Buckaloo, James Buckaloo, Ruth Irene Buckaloo, Gary Wayne Buckaloo, Ralph Gene Buckaloo, Sally Saldana, Bill Buckaloo, Mary Lou Auch, and Johnny Ray Buckaloo.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Jimmy Dean Buckaloo of Thackerville and sisters, Quintilla Stucks of Edmond and Eileen Chase of Burneyville.

Casket bearers were Jim Buckaloo, Chad Buckaloo, Cameron Buckaloo, Cayden Buckaloo, Kreiden Swan and Conway Swan. Honorary bearers were Woody Parker, Jason Parker, Cory Buckaloo, Robert Lome Buckaloo, and Dusty Buckaloo.
