Anna Marie Bond, a 93-year-old Thackerville, OK resident, peacefully
passed away at her home while surrounded by her loving family on Friday,
March 22, 2024.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March
25, 2024, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta, OK with
Dr. Stephen Davis officiating and Don Scivally assisting.
Interment to
follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville. A visitation will be
held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Marie began this life on February 11, 1931, in Nampa, ID the daughter of
Eugene and Cora (Bicknell) Hall. She attended elementary and junior high
school in Nampa and high school in Santa Rosa, CA. Marie furthered her
education at Santa Rosa Junior College and later at Southeastern
Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK after moving to Love County in
1978. On May 5, 1983, she married John Henry Bond in Thackerville. He
preceded her in death on July 17, 2005. Many will remember Marie as a
wonderfully talented musician who played in church and taught piano
lessons for many years.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; only son, Delvin
Blair Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Marcus Delvin Flick and Michael
Blair Flick; three brothers, Wayne Hall, Virgil Hall, and Eugene Hall;
and two sisters, Norma Barrington and Charlotte Mitchell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan Rains of
Thackerville, Connie Limerick of Broken Arrow, OK and Elaine Gilbreath
of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Lisa Hoover, Jessica Ammons,
and Travis Hamilton; six great-grandchildren; and 12
great-great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers are James Ammons, Jeremiah Ammons, Danny Jones, Dennis
Kretzschmar, Robbie Peyrot, and Caleb Rains. Honorary bearers are Jimmy
Ammons, Matthew Barrington, Leland Capps, Michael Castillo, Ricky
Castillo, Rick Chadwick, Kermit Fausnight, Marvin Hall, Travis Hamilton,
Carl Hoover, Donald Rains, Weldon Rains, Roy Sewell, Donnie Tubbs, and
Chester Vaughn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Thackerville First Baptist
Church, Thackerville United Methodist Church, or the Baptist Home for
Girls in Madill, OK, c/o Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, 100 East Main
Street, Marietta, OK 73448.
