Services for Cora May Drennan, 86, of Frisco, Texas were held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 7 in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta, with Rev. Forest Smith officiating.

Interment followed in Morgan Rest Cemetery in rural Love County.

Born March 28, 1927 in Clayton, New Mexico, the daughter of Otto and Eunice Morgan Frazier, she died Monday, February 3, 2014 in Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas.

Cora May and Glen R. Drennan were married in Portales, New Mexico on June 21, 1947. A homemaker, Mrs. Drennan loved to cook; however her main priority was caring for and overseeing her children. While her husband was in the Air Force the family moved several times including a time stationed in Guam where one of their children was born. Upon Mr. Drennan’s retirement from the service in 1969, the couple moved to Athens, Texas where they owned a real estate and ranching operation for 20 years. Mrs. Drennan enjoyed playing golf and attending Bible Study Fellowship. She was a member of the Baptist Church (Balboa) in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Mrs. Drennan will be remembered as a very impressive person who attracted the attention of everyone when she entered the room.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Clyde Frazier, Clint Frazier, Erskine Frazier, Otto Frazier, Jr. and Wayne Frazier; one sister, Irene Frazier McKissick and a son-in-law, Paul Bruckbauer. 

Survivors include her husband of 67 years of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Trixie Kay Bruckbauer of Jenison, Michigan and Glenda E. and Forest Smith of Dallas; a brother and sister-in-law, Ervin and Lynn Frazier of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren, Peter Bruckbauer, Jonathan Bruckbauer, James Bruckbauer, Catherine Timmermans, Deborah Kraal, Melissa Smith and Melinda Bracy and 13 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearer were Pete Bruckbauer, Jon Bruckbauer, Danny Frazier, Mike Drennan, Brad Birmingham and Ervin Frazier.

A picture of Mrs. Drennan was included with this obituary.
