Graveside services for Mr. Gregory Boone Walters, 63, of Burneyville, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 31 at Leon Cemetery with Pastor Don Clark officiating. Services were under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Greg was born in Ardmore on October 17, 1955, to the late Mr. U.T. Walters and Mrs. Lois M. (Hale) Walters Bass. He departed from this life on Thursday, December 27, 2018, in Wilson after an extended illness. a carpet installer by trade and was very good at it. Greg enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing. He lived in Joplin, Missouri for several years before moving to Rubottom to be near his daughter and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron Walters.

Survivors include his daughter, Cherri Hartman and husband Gary of Rubottom; sister, Gay (Walters) Segler and husband Don of Lone Grove; brother, Don Walters of Ardmore; grandchildren, Clinton Stephens, Gracie Stephens, J.D. Hartman and wife Katie, Cody Hartman, and Chastity Hartman; great-granddaughters, Cadence and Harper Hartman; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were J.D. Hartman, Cody Hartman, Geoffrey Segler, Timmy Segler, Colton Segler and Tony Hicks. Honorary bearers were A.J. McMillian, James McMillian, Dee Harbeson and Marty Lucas. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to Alexander Funeral Home.
