Interment followed in the Leon Cemetery.
Born March 12, 1929 in Rush, Arkansas, the daughter of J.W. and Rachel
Cordelia Collins Peters, she died Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Lake Country
Nursing Center, Marietta.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents;
four brothers, Leonard, Dennis, Melvin and Burl Peters; a sister,
Wylodene Davenport; stepson, Teddy Joe Russell; and stepdaughter, Nelda
Wood.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Trina Russell
of Marietta; two stepsons, Larry Russell and Lynn of Claremore and Ray
Russell and Barbara of Thackerville; one daughter, Charlene Shive of
Midwest City; three stepdaughters Janie Shawver of Midwest City, Johnnie
Raulston of Jones and Barbara Harris and Don of Burneyville; one sister,
Lois Passmore of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; and several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Mathew Russell, Alex Russell,
Miles Russell, Geron Russell, Duwane Russell and Gary Boykin. Honorary
bearers were cousins, Ronnie Carlile, Donnie Carlile, Kenneth Carlile,
Wendell Carlile and Stevie Gene Russell.
