She was born on September 20, 1939, in Weleetka, OK to James
Coleman and Willa Mae (Brintle) Petty. She grew up in Leon OK. From
an early age, Peggy worked alongside her father in the fields of the
family farm. Peggy was truly a hard worker. It was a treat for her
to go to the big city of Fort Worth, TX to the cattle sales. As a
teenager, she was a member of the FFA and played on the basketball
team. Peggy was a 1957 graduate of Leon High School.
Interment will follow at the Leon Cemetery under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
