Houston Love, 88, of Rubottom, OK passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK. He was born on June 18, 1933, in Rayville, LA, one of eleven children born to Leon and Kerney Mae (Holder) Love.
 
Houston grew up and attended schools in Rayville. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on June 21, 1950, and was honorably discharged on July 19, 1951. Houston worked in the air conditioning and heating business prior to opening his business the Circle L Company from 1975 through 1992. During that time in 1982, he purchased a ranch in Rubottom and named it the Circle L Ranch. In 1992 he retired to ranching fulltime. He married Frances Godfrey on May 8, 1998, in Marietta. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2020, a few months after celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary. Houston loved ranch life and taking care of his horses and cattle. He was an avid coon hunter and entered several coon hunting competitions over the years. Houston was also a rodeo fan and team roper. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky St. Clair; brothers, Kerney Love, Andy Love, and Maxie Love; sisters, Doris Woodruff, Barbara Hutto, and Linda Johnson; and grandchildren, Levi Curbow and Tamsen Payne.
 
Survivors include his children, Larry Love of Ft. Worth, TX, Marty Love of Amarillo, TX, Lisa Teafatiller and husband Rickey of Marietta, OK, Stacey Wiens of Owasso, OK, and Clifton Curbow and wife Sonja of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters, Elizabeth Lafferty, Janie Wright, Sheila Stroud, and Glenda Howard; grandchildren, Larry, Cameron, Brent, Tanner, Shakira, Crystal, Rickey, Ryan, Kendell, Justin, Chase, Gary, Zack, Amy, and Laci; and numerous great-grandchildren.
 
Services for Houston will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel of Marietta, with Rev. Jeremy Parham officiating. Interment will follow in the Leon Cemetery under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
 
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
Casket bearers are Cameron Love, Brent St. Clair, Rickey Teafatiller, Ryan Curbow, Randall Cavitt, Chase Clifton, and Larry Love, Jr. Honorary bearers are grandsons, Tanner Love, Zack Curbow, Justin Teafatiller, and Gary Clifton.
 
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association towards the research of medication, www.alz.org, 800-272-3900, or drop off at the funeral home.
