Graveside services for Shelbi Reese Kirk were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at the Leon Cemetery, with the Rev. Johnny Young officiating. Arrangements were directed by Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson. 

Born Friday, March 4, 2005, at Ardmore, the daughter of Sam H. and Misti Raylynn Clough Kirk of Marietta, she died Friday, March 4, 2005, in Ardmore. Her parents are members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Muenster, Texas.

Survivors include her parents, Sam and Misti Kirk of the home in Marietta; a brother, Sam H. Kirk Jr. of Denton, Texas; grandparents, Nita Clough of Marietta, Frank and Robin Hacker of Valley View, Texas, and Cecil and Cheryl Kirk of Denton; great -grandparents, Helen Caldwell of Marietta, Mary Morton of Denton, and George and Shirley Eyster of Justin, Texas; Uncles Stacy and Missy Clough of Ringling, Bo Clough of Marietta, Michael Hacker of Sanger, Texas, and Fred Pitter of Fort Worth, Texas. Among her other survivors are an aunt, Oleta Foster of Marietta; and many other relatives and friends.

Shelbi was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Ray Caldwell, Harvey “Peck” Kirk and Howard Morton; and an aunt, Elaine Jones.

Pallbearers were Lance Hartman and Marty Teakell. Honorary pallbearers were Bo Clough, Stacy Clough, Michael Hacker and Fred Pitter.
